Artistic Experiences

Throughout the spaces of 701 San Marco, visual elements create a sense of awe by combining natural aspects of the environment with man-made, experiential art. Through intentional placement of light and color — as well as references to regional flora, fauna, and stories — the art program brings forth conversation about human experiences, creative problem solving, and generative thinking.

With a curated selection of awe-inspiring works custom made for the space in collaboration with exceptional artists, 701 San Marco is a crafted environment serving as a hub of creativity and community. More than a building, it is a destination that draws people together to experience wonder, surprise, and delight.

OF LIGHT

Crafted by the late Daniel Goldstein, this lobby centerpiece features a kinetic mural jumping off the wall into a suspended aluminum sculpture, rotating with ambient air currents to mimic moonlight on the nearby St. Johns River.

Dyed, printed, and painted aluminum with dichroic acrylic. Installed 2026.

etazin

CIRCLE

Created by Kathleen Werner, Etazin is a series of interactive steel lounge chairs designed to bridge design and function, adding to the landscape and providing a usefulness in sculptural beauty.

RINGS

Florida native Cherie Bosela designed this mosaic base with tones of blue and green to match the waterfront, incorporating iridescent tiles to mimic the reflection of sunlight on moving water.

MURAL

Designed by Jacksonville-based artist David Nackashi, this vinyl mural features an abstract aerial interpretation of 701 San Marco's unique location near the St. Johns River.

ORB

Lit from inside as a nighttime beacon, Argentine American artist and sculptor Cecilia Lueza’s sculpture is made of undulating aluminum pieces inspired by the movement and colors of open water.
